Make this adorable felt mouse submitted by Angie Edwards. Perfect for a Christmas tree ornament or a gift.

  • Age Guideline: 5 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
Using felt, cut 2 small teardrop-shaped pieces about 3-inches long. Lay the candy cane on top of one of the pieces of felt, noting in the picture how the candy cane hangs out over the edge. Cover with the other piece of felt. Glue the 2 pieces together, sandwiching the candy cane in the middle and lining up the edges.

Glue the nose (small pom-pom) and wiggle eyes in place. Cut two small circles out of felt, about 1-inch across, to be the ears. Cut 2 smaller circles out of a contrasting color and glue them the center of the 1-inch circles. Glue the ears in place. Glue on embroidery floss to look like the whiskers.

You can give this as a gift or add a piece of ribbon and use it as an ornament. Also, instead of candy canes, you can glue on a bent chenille stem.
