Simplysimple shares, "I hit on an idea for a Thanksgiving Day craft that works for a Christmas decoration, making the transition from one holiday to the next very simple. We often get the whole family together on Thanksgiving, and following the evening meal, we all decorate the tree for Christmas. This has worked out wonderfully for many years now, because it is so hard to get everyone together again otherwise. That is why I thought this family craft idea so appropriate and wanted to share it with you!

Take some basic tree ornaments (whatever you prefer), and with a variety of paint pens, have everyone list one person or thing they are thankful for on each ornament. Favorite picks include: the name of each family member, both present and past; hope, peace, love, friends, faith; names of cherished pets; biblical references such as God, Christ, Mary, etc.; the list of blessings is only limited by each person’s imagination.

When dry, hang the ornaments upon the tree and count your many blessings!"
