These can be made to be used as nut cups for your Thanksgiving dinner or simply for decoration.

  • Age Guideline: 6 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
Start out by cutting an oval out of brown craft foam. It should be about 3" x 1".Glue the the oval to the outside of the clay pot, sticking up about 1 1/2" over the top edge. This will be the turkey's head and neck.

Now you can cut several oval feather shapes out of red, yellow, and orange craft foam. The feathers can be glued to the outside of the clay pot opposite the side with the head and neck. They should also extend above the edge of the pot and 1 1/2".

Use scraps of craft foam to make a beak and waddle, and glue on two wiggle eyes.

This is optional: Make a small name tag by cutting a square of craft foam and gluing it on top of a craft stick. Write a person's name on the craft foam and stick it into the pot of candy or nuts or you can glue it onto the side of the turkey.
