Follow these directions and create a personalized Valentine's Day card mailbox using an oatmeal or similar container.

  • Age Guideline: 3 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Before you start working on this Valentine's Day card collector craft project, use the craft knife and cut a slit in the lid of the container that is big enough for cards to slip through.

Remove the lid from the container and paint both the container and the lid. You can paint the container and the lid the same color or different colors. You can paint them one solid color or several! Put it aside to dry.

Once the container is dry, replace the lid. Use whatever craft supplies you want to decorate the Valentine's Day card collector container! You can use rhinestones, ribbon, lace, or anything else you want. Let the glue dry.

You can now use this fun container to collect Valentine's Day cards and treats.
