Barb shares these instructions for making a heart-shaped pin out of paper.

  • Age Guideline: 8 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Use the heart shape here or make your own template and trace 10 hearts of each color. Cut them out.

Glue the hearts, one on top of each other, alternating colors to make a pattern. Let the stack dry completely, then sand the hearts to even them out. You can sand at an angle or into the center or at the edges, whatever you wish.

Seal the pin using clear nail polish. Let dry and then attach the safety pin or pin backing to the back of the heart.
