Lori explains not only how she created her wedding programs but also how she turned them into fancy fans.

  • Age Guideline: 12 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 60+ minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
Type the wedding program information on cardstock using the Landscape setting and 2 columns. In one column type your names, the wedding date, time and place of wedding, followed by the wedding ceremony order. In the second column you list your wedding party. Decorative graphics and borders are a nice finishing touch. Print on cardstock.

Cut the cardstock between the 2 columns to form the 2 sides of the fan, using either a scissors or paper trimmer. Using craft glue, glue the craft stick close to the bottom, on the backside, of one side of the program half so that it is partially inside the program with enough outside to form a handle. Using craft glue, glue the second half of the program to the first side, wrong sides together, enclosing the craft stick handle between them. You can leave the corners of the program square, use a corner rounder craft punch, or use a decorative craft scissors to cut around the fan.

Cut pieces of ribbon 12-inches long and loosely tie around the fan handle. Put a dot of hot glue from a glue gun on the handle just below the program. Slide the ribbon onto the dot of glue, tighten the knot and hold until set. The ribbon can then be left as is, tied into a bow, or hot glue a flower petal onto the knot. Your fan program is complete.
