Name of Project

Wedding Reception Napkin Rings

Ages This Project is Suitable For

10 and up

Approximate Time Required to Complete This Project

5-7 minutes per

Materials Needed

toilet paper rolls, ribbon, shell or other decoration, glue gun

Instructions

Cut cardboard rolls into 3rds. Hot glue the end of a piece of ribbon inside the tube piece and tightly wrap, wrap, wrap the ribbon in and out around the tube. When tube is tightly covered, fold over end of the ribbon and hot glue it to inside of tube. Hot glue a shell, starfish, sand dollar, etc. on the napkin ring. (Whatever fits your theme). I used 1-inch thick white satin. It also looks good with grosgrain ribbon. They looked so pretty with ocean blue napkins and no one guessed what they were!

Tips and Tricks

  • Wrap the ribbon very closely around the tube... just barely not overlapping. This will make the tube more stable and look good.
  • Experiment to see how long you should cut ribbon pieces--it will depend on how closely your wrapping.
