Instructions

1. Put the newspaper under your unfinished wood plaques.

2. Have your wood stain ready and your rags. Lightly wipe one stain at a time till dry. You can go with another color till the effect you want is accomplished.

3. With natural leaves from outside, brush the outside of each leave with tacky glue and also at the border of each wood plaque, arrange them in a pattern around the plaques.

4. Put glue on top of each leave and sprinkle gold glitter on each leaf. Tap off excess glitter on a plate.

5. With the stencils with the letters in place, use colored pencils or very thin colored markers so that the lettering will show through the opening of the stencil.

6. Hang the wood plaques on a door window or a wall.

Tips and Tricks

  • You can also intertwine raffia around the plaques for another look.
