Approximate Time Required to Complete This Project

30 min. or as much time as you want to put into it with embellies & text

Materials Needed

Background paper using media of your choice - I used a print of a digital page by Jessica Sprague about hands; but a collage would be fun as well

Acrylic paint in a contrasting color

Foam brush

Your hand

Instructions

Create a background paper about hands. Use collage or a digital design. Be sure to journal something about what this hand has done for you.

My journaling says, "For 65 years, they've played, worked, created, and expressed my feelings. These hands have served me well."

Cover work surface. Use brush to apply acrylic paint to the hand.

Stamp hand onto the journal page.

Tips and Tricks

  • Practice stamping the hand few times on a piece of scrap or newspaper to determine the best amount of paint, as well as how to position the hand on your journal page.
