Name of Project

Ice Cream Bucket Easter Basket

Ages This Project is Suitable For

Age 6 and up (if they're doing it without your help)

Approximate Time Required to Complete This Project

About an hour (not counting drying time.

Materials Needed

Cleaned out ice cream bucket, craft foam, paint, primer, hole puncher for handle and anything that works for a strong handle (my daughter used twisted paper bought at craft store) and tacky glue. For the stick flower, my daughter just glued foam flowers to small craft dowels. 1 large white pom-pom for rabbit tail (not shown)

Instructions

First prime the ice cream bucket. After completely dry paint with desired color then using craft foam, cut out shapes for face, feet, eyes etc. Glue and let dry, then fill with goodies. For the handle, punch a hole on each side and insert handle then tie a knot. And don't forget to glue the pom-pom to the back of the rabbit (sorry, not shown in photo)

Tips and Tricks

  • The only thing that I helped with was the hole puncher.

These Easter baskets are adorable and a fun way to recycle. I will definitely add it to the list of Easter crafts and also my collection of Easter Basket crafts!
