Materials Needed
Scrap paper
Drink bottle (the round ones available at Christmas time)
Construction paper
Scissors
Glue
Googly eyes
Feathers
Instructions
1. Remove lid from clean, dry pop bottle.
2. Stuff with shredded paper or allow child to practice scissor skills by snipping bits of paper and stuffing that into the bottle.
3. When bottle is full, replace lid and glue on ears, beak and feet cut from construction paper.
4. Embellish with googly eyes and feathers and you're done!
Tips and Tricks
- Stuffing the bottle can be a big mess, so do it over the shredder bin, a trash can or even outside! (The birds can use the little bits for their nests!)
