Potato (uncooked)
Kitchen Knife
Water Color or Poster Paint
Bond paper
Instructions
Simply cut the potato into half. Draw the shamrock on the potato and start carving using the kitchen knife. Never let the kids do the carving but if they insist, give them a disposable plastic brad knife and let them do the job.
After carving, apply water color on the potato and start stamping it on the paper.
Tips and Tricks
- Aside from the Shamrock, you can carve different shapes as you wish.
- Make sure that you do this craft right after you cut the potato because the potato deforms when being exposed to air for a long period of time.
- The finish product can use as a gift wrapper.
