Materials Needed

Old t-shirt or one found at yard sales or thrift shops--Any as long as they will fit your person.

Thread.

Bias tape

Instructions

Slit the t-shirt up the sides to about 1 inch below each sleeve. Leave sleeves intact. Cut the bottom of the back off here. Slit the back straight up the middle. Hem bottom of back and down side seams where you cut the back away. Use bias tape down the back and to make ties for the neck.

Tips and Tricks

  • We use these at the group home I work at since we have some folks that like to reach behind them with their spoons. I also used them when my kids were little to cover more of their nicer clothes. To put them on just pull the persons arms through the sleeves and tie the back.
