Discover how to make a lovely picture using your own pressed flowers. Great for gifts, cards, book covers, and more.

Materials Needed:

  • Flowers
  • Newspaper
  • Tissue Paper
  • Wax Paper
  • Clear ConTact Paper

Instructions:
Press your flowers as described on this page: Save Your Summer Blooms.

Once your flowers are ready, cut a piece of wax paper to the size you want your picture. Carefully arrange your flowers on the wax paper into the design you want - be careful, they might be fragile!

Cut a piece of clear ConTact paper about the same size as your wax paper. Peel off the paper backing and carefully cover the flowers and wax paper with it. Gently press to make sure the ConTact paper adheres to everything.

You can now frame your picture with a piece of construction paper or a real frame if you like. You can also use it as a cover for a card, a book, or whatever else you can dream up. Using this method, you should have your summer blooms well after summer is gone!
