Instructions to make simple,colorful pine cone Christmas tree ornament, shared by Clare.

Materials Needed:

• Pine Cone
• Paint
• Glue
• Glitter
• Pipe cleaner

Instructions:
My favorite ornament is a pine cone that my then toddler son gave me. He coated it with glue and rolled it in and sprinkled it with silver glitter. A green pipe cleaner glued to the top is the hanger.

In the years since then we continue to decorate pine cones we have spray painted them gold and dripped gold glitter glue and gotten more sophisticated in using screw in picture hanger loops and ribbons as hangers.

Tip Shared by Stacy Landry: "Spray with sealer. Form hanger out of wire and glue to top of pine cone. Decorate your wire with ribbons, bows, etc."
