Baby's 1st Christmas Chain
A visitor, New2crafting, tells us how to make a unique craft to mark bbaby's first Christmas.

Materials Needed:

  • Colored Construction Paper
  • Stapler, Glue, or Paste
  • Marker or Pen
Instructions:
"I made one for each of the grandparents, and one for us. Every year they can either add more links to keep up with childs growth or keep as a memento of the child's size at the time of their first Christmas.

I measured my daughter's height and marked it down. Cut the paper into 4- or 5-inch long strips, about 2-inch wide using various colors. Take one of the paper strips and make a ring. Glue, paste or staple to close it. Take next strip and do the same, but loop through first 'link' and glue or staple. Continue adding links until the chain is the same length as child. Then mark the last, or the first link with child's name and year of first Christmas."
