Simply Sublime Gifts Book

Potter Craft
Author Jodi Kahn has compiled a wonderful collection of craft projects that make perfect gifts for everyone on your list. The projects in this book will appeal to people of all crafting abilities and most use just basic crafting items and recyclable items you may already have laying around your house. Of course, the author includes all of the templates needed to complete the projects and a useful resources section. I love exploring all of the resources I find in books!
While the book does offer an introduction that was fun to read through and a section that touches on different supplies you might want to keep on hand, the majority of the 128 pages of this book are packed full of fun projects. There are 6 chapters which are arranged by types of gifts and who will be receiving the gift. You will find hostess gifts, gifts for her, gifts for him, gifts for kids, gifts from the heart, and gifts of the season.

Each of the almost 30 gift projects are accompanied by a colored photo, supply list, and helpful illustrations. You will also find different icons near the top of each project so you can easily identify what skills and supplies the project needs. The icons show you in an instant the skill level, Level 1 for the beginner up to Level 5 for the more experienced crafter. They also let you know if the project is no-sew, hand-sew, low sew, made by recycling, or if it can be 'made in snap'.

In most craft books I review, there is usually a few projects I fall in love with and I call out as my favorite, but that is really hard with this book. There are so many easy and fabulous crafts in this book I cannot pick just a few I love. Get this book and you can learn how to fashion an amazing apron using Wonder Bread wrappers (pictured on the cover), transform dishtowels into slippers, construct a photo-covered baseball, and create 3-D stuffed ornaments using family photos. You are certain to find gifts to make for everyone you know.
