Discover how easy it is to make a star you can hang up or give as a gift. You can use it as a Hanukkah decoration of even hang it on a Christmas tree. You can even dress it up with some glitter, sequins, or other embellishments.

  • Age Guideline: 6 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
Start out by laying wax paper down on your work surface. Paint both sides of all six craft sticks blue. Let the paint dry. While you are waiting for the paint to dry, cut a piece of ribbon about 10-inches long.

Once the blue paint is dry, apply a dab of glue to the ends of three painted craft sticks, and glue them together to make a triangle. Repeat with the other three craft sticks. You should now have 2 triangles. Turn your triangles so they face different directions; one point should be up and one should be down. Glue them together to form a 6-pointed Star of David. Let the glue dry

To add some sparkle to your Star of David, you can decorate the star with glitter or sequins. To make a hanger for your ornament, tie the ribbon you cut through one on the points.
