- Age Guideline: 8 Years and Up
- Time Required: 60 minutes (Does not include drying time)
The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.
Materials Needed:
- 1 old, Paperback Book
- Cellophane Tape
- Construction Paper
- Glue Stick
- Scissors
Instructions:
Start out by folding each page in the paper back book in half.
I made my Book Owl using a largish paperback book, folding each page in half. You can ecure each page using a glue stick if you like. Optional - Lay the book on it's side on a flat surface, set a few heavy books on top of it, and let it compress overnight.
Tape the back and front cover together, letting all of the pages fan out and around, to form the owl body. Now you can cut ears, wings, eyes, and a beak out of colored construction paper. Add details to the cut-outs using a marker. Tape the features onto the book where desired.
