Dryer Lint Paper Mache Pulp
How to Make Paper Mache Paste

By Sherri Osborn, About.com Guide

Use this recipe to make a pulp mixture to make finer details on paper mache projects.

Materials Needed:

  • 3 cups of Dryer Lint
  • 2 Cups of Warm Water
  • 2/3 Cup of Flour

Instructions:
A pulp mixture is great for making smooth, fine details in your paper mache creations. It would, however, take a lot of it to complete a larger project.

Start out by putting the dryer lint in a large pot. Slowly add the warm water, stirring, so all of the lint is wet. Slowly add the flour, stirring well so you don't get any lumps. Cook this mixture over low heat, stirring it constantly, until the mixtures holds together well and even forms peaks.

Cover your work surface with several layers of newspaper. Pour the dryer lint mixture out onto the newspaper and let it cool. You should be able to store this paper mache pulp in a covered bowl, jar, or baggie in the refrigerator for a few days.
