Guide Review - Birdhouses
This book makes me want Spring, birds singing, and warm afternoons - and it also makes me want to go out and make a mess in the garage while I build a variety of unique homes for our fine feathered friends! I know, I know, this is technically a "kids' craft book", but we all have a kid in us sometimes. Just because the projects in this book are easy enough for kids to make, does not mean that adults won't enjoy them too. Besides wood, you can make birdhouses out of drainage pipes, tin cans, flower pots, twigs, and even an old boot. Don't believe me? Get the book and find out for yourself!
Besides all the great projects, author Renee Schwarz also provides a handy chart at the end of this book that explains common species of birds along with what each requires or prefers when it comes to a birdhouse. Great info!
