The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.
Materials Needed:
- Sea Shells
- Magnet (Small Round Ones Work Best)
- Wiggle Eyes
- Items to Embellish (Optional)
- Craft Glue
Instructions:
Start off by making sure your shells are clean and dry.
Choose one shell to be the body of your sea shell bug. Decide which side of that shell you want to be the back of the magnet Glue the magnet to the back of the sea shell.
If you want to make a flying bug, select two shells to be wings and glue them in place. Glue on a couple of wiggle eyes. If you like, you can decorate your sea shell using paint, glitter, ribbon, etc.
Let the glue dry completely before you hang it on the refrigerator, locker, or other metal surfaces.
