- Age Guideline: 3 Years and Up
- Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)
The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.
- Picture Frame
- Sea Shells
- Craft Glue
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks or Strong Glue
- Old Paint Brush
Before you do anything, remove the back from the frame and put it aside along with the glass.
This first step is optional, but it creates a nice base for your sea shells. Use an old paint brush and cover an old picture frame with a generous coat of craft glue. Sprinkle sand onto the glue. Gently pat it down and let it dry completely. Once dry, shake off any extra sand.
Use a hot glue gun or strong craft glue to attach sea shells to the frame. You can place them randomly or create a pattern.
Once all of the glue is dry, replace the glass in the photo frame and then add a picture and replace the back. Now you can hang up your newly embellished picture frame. This also makes a great gift.
