"This costume was made with almost no money and was a HUGE hit on our trick or treating outing. We took two old flannel sheets that I found at a thrift shop for like a dollar, four pairs of red tights and the rest was stuff around the house. First we copied a pattern from a globe and enlarged it to fit a child. Then we cut the pieces and sewed them all together leaving the top and bottom unfinished. WE then made a large tube for her body to slide into and closed up the bottom of the eyeball. We stuffed the whole thing with about 200 saved grocery bags. She was warm the whole night long. Then we sewed the top of the eye shut around the top of the tube. WE made arm holes and hemmed around the edge of them. Found an old Frisbee disk at the recycle center and covered it with some blue hippie fabric that we had around the house and then sewed it to the middle of the eyeball with a piece of black fabric in the middle. She wore one pair of red tights and we cut another pair in half. We sewed one cut of leg to another pair and stuffed each leg to make the arteries she wore as a hat and then we did the same thing and sewed the next set to her bottom and they drug behind her as she walked. IT WAS HYSTERICAL !! After Halloween last year we came home and sewed up the leg, neck and arm holes and stuffed it with pillows and now we have a wonderful Halloween decoration to sit out and lay on during the holidays." ~ Terri
