Sea Shell Ornaments
How to Make Ornaments Using Shells

Follow the directions shared by Patricia from MA and you can beautiful Christmas tree ornaments using sea shells!

  • Age Guideline: 5 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 20 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

 

Materials Needed:

Paint your shells and let them dry. You can also leave the shells plain if you prefer. Let dry. Seal the paint/shell with clear nail polish or clear acrylic spray. Let that dry.

Glue a rosebud and/or pearl in the well of the shell or decorate it however you like. Glue a loop of the thin ribbon or cord on the top to hang it with. Cover base of the ribbon with a rosebud, pearl, or a bow.

These are easy to make and very Victorian looking. And also very beautiful.
