Magic Wand Pencil

Magic Wand Pencil

Turn an ordinary pencil and a few chenille stems into a cool magic wand. Great fun for a Harry Potter or Witch party or theme!

  • Age Guideline: 5 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 20 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
Carefully remove the eraser from the end of the pencil. Cut 2 pieces of silver star garland to about 8-inches and also cut 2 pieces of metallic chenille stem to about 8-inches (they do not all have to be the same length). Hold all 4 pieces together and fold in half. Pinch the folded sections together and push the folds down into the end of a pencil where the eraser has been removed. It should be secured by a generous amount of glue that was squeezed into the eraser holder first.

As a finishing touch, you can wrap a 4-inch piece of chenille stem around the silver of the original eraser holder. You can also decorate the pencil part of the magic wand pencil however you like!
