Instructions

Cut a red clay apple following your pattern.

Apply copper Inka Gold to the edges.

Roll and flatten a brown stem. Add it to the apple.

Cut and emboss 2 green leaves. Apply green Inka Gold to the raised part.

Add the leaves to the stem.

Bake following pkg. directions. Spray varnish.

Stamp the border and phrase on gold speckled card stock.

Cut stamped piece of card stock to 2½” X 1 1/8”.

Print poem on plain white paper.

Tear all four edges to make a rectangle about 3¼” wide by 4½” tall, centering the poem.

Cut the following pieces from the checkered paper:

3” X 3¼”

3” X 1 5/8”

From gold speckled paper cut out three strips:

4½” X 1”

4½” x ¾”

4½” X ½”

From solid green cut:

5” X 3 7/8”

5” X 3¾”

Cut 8½” X 11” piece of marbled green card stock in half and fold one of the pieces in half to 4¼” wide X 5½” tall.

Run all pieces through your Xyron machine except the folded card.

Center and stick the poem on the larger green rectangle.

Stick the matted poem to the center of the inside of your card.

Stick the other green rectangle to the center front of your folded card.

Press the medium thick strip of gold just below the poem on the inside of the card. The left edge should be even with the fold. The right edge will hang over. We will take care of that in a bit.

Peel and center the stamped card on the smaller checkered piece of paper.

Press this stamped piece to the center of the narrowest strip.

Peel the larger checkered piece off and stick it to the center of the remaining strip of gold.

Peel up the strip with the stamped phrase and press it to your backing sheet, just above the apple square.

Lay the pieces (still attached to the Xyron backing) over the card to get an idea of how to add these pieces to the front of the card. If it is easier, you could cut closely around the pieces to get a better idea.

When you have determined where you want them, peel them off the backing and press these piece to the front of the card. *I added mine to the card at an angle and let the ends of my strips hang over the edges.

If that is how you arranged yours, turn your card over. You can see where the strips hang over. Use scissors to trim close to the edge of the card to remove these overhanging parts. Be careful that you don’t cut through the fold of the card.

Using strong tape (if you made your apple a magnet or are just adding the clay piece without anything on the back) or pin the apple to the front of the card, centering it on the checkered piece.
